Existing contents page of a magazine


This is an existing contents page of a pop magazine, the contents page looks a bit busy because there are three pictures and there is a lot of text as well which gives the reader an inside view of the magazine. The contents page uses less color so it does not look over the top, there are only three main colors which are white, black and pink. And the colors of the contents page usually match the cover of the magazine. The target audience of the magazine looking from the contents page looks like it is for 16-30 year olds because the contents page looks mature because of the color schemes used and it does not look like the type of magazine that children will read because it is more mature. The contents page looks organized because the writing and pictures are not all mixed or muddled together, this is because the pictures are on one side with words and the writing is on one side and the writing is the same color so you will know that it is linked and the headings are written in bold so you will know what each paragraph is about before you read it. The most important features in the magazine are in bold so if there is a story that everyone will want to read about; and it is in a different bright color and it is also bold and big, for example 'FASHION ROCKS'. The images and writing and the way that the contents page is set out relates to the target audience of the magazine because the colors that are used are young and the pictures are young and they will appeal to young people as well. The features of the magazine that will help it to sell. The contents page is filled with famous names and information and so when people see the contents page they will want to buy it because it has famous names and pictures on there and it also has a lot of information and stories. The features of the magazine are easy to locate by using the contents page because the headings are bold so you will know what story is on a certain page because it is bold and it is easy to see as well.
